Saturday, September 24, 2022, | 10.00 – 14.00 | Athens Municipality Arts Centre Courtyard.
For the 10th consecutive year, the Cultural and Educational Institutes and Embassies of thirteen member countries of EUNIC Athens, in cooperation with the Representation of the European Commission in Athens, the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY) and the Athens Culture Net of the Municipality of Athens, invite us all on a journey from one European country to another, exploring the fascinating world of languages and dialects with events and activities for the whole family.
This year, the central theme of the celebrations is “Peace”, highlighting the role of languages and culture as a means to cultivate and promote positive attitudes towards cooperation, participation and multicultural appreciation, and essential factors that can contribute to and strengthen peace and communication among countries and peoples. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in educational workshops for children, interact with the organizers and receive souvenirs.
The European Day of Languages was established in 2001 to support and promote Europe’s rich linguistic diversity and the development of language skills to enable its citizens to participate fully and democratically in preserving Europe’s multicultural diversity.
