27| Lefteris Kioses

Born in Piraeus, he was editor-in-chief of the underground newspaper “Voice of the Slaves” during the Occupation. Captured at the clandestine printing press in 1942, he was sentenced to five years in prison and executed as a hostage on June 5 of that same year, alongside seven other patriots. At the time, he was just 19 years old and a student.
