Kostas Chatzigeorgiou

A war veteran disabled from frostbite, he was arrested in an Athens hospital along with other disabled individuals in April 1943. Just before being led to the firing squad in Ritsona, he threw a photograph of his newborn nephew into the street with a note on the back.
