Evangelos Polkos
A 35-year-old teacher from Rahoula, Karditsa, and a member of the KKE, he was imprisoned during the Metaxas dictatorship. Initially held in Larissa, he was later transferred to Folégandros and then to Akronafplia, where he taught Physics to fellow inmates. He was executed on May Day in 1944 in Kaisariani.
