In the heart of Athens, at the Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens, Santa Claus, with the help of his many elves, has built a large, sparkling, and lively Christmas city inside the now-famous THE CHRISTMAS FACTORY. A city within a city! The Christmas city—modeled after Athens and led by Santa Claus himself—opens its gates on Saturday, November 23, inviting children to become “elf citizens.”
Inauguration
The city will be inaugurated with a grand concert featuring top pop star Elena Paparizou and Mente Fuerte.
The city’s opening, which marks the start of the beloved Christmas season, will be celebrated with a big event on Saturday, November 23. There will be dozens of elves, the lighting of our large Christmas tree, fireworks, and live music.
This year, the official start of Christmas will be given at 18:00 by number one artist Elena Paparizou, who, along with Mente Fuerte, will perform their greatest hits until 22:00.
10 Unique Free Workshops
10 unique free workshops are available for everyone, young and old. These include face painting, cinema, pastry making, gardening, writing letters to Santa Claus, musical games, painting, storytelling, and, of course, a meeting with Santa Claus himself, the leader of the City!
Christmas Fun Park
This year, with the entire city at our disposal, fun is everywhere! The joy is the goal, and it’s meant for all ages. In addition to the many games spread throughout Technopolis, there will be a large Christmas market and numerous sweet and savory corners to satisfy even the most demanding tastes (with burgers, hot dogs, souvlaki, pizza, sweets, chocolates, lollipops, waffles, mulled wine, and hot chocolate).
“A Christmas Story” by Charles Dickens
After the warm embrace of the public during two seasons (2018-2020) at the Diana Theater – Eleni Rantou, the most beautiful Christmas story ever written is presented at The Christmas Factory. Charles Dickens’ timeless Christmas tale comes to life again starting on November 23, adapted and directed by Konstantina Nikolaidi. A 11-member cast, full of energy, will transport us atmospherically into the Christmas spirit through images, original Christmas melodies and songs, choreography, video-art, atmospheric lighting, and of course, the wonderful words of Dickens, one of the greatest writers of all time. Alexandros Kalpakidis stars as Scrooge.
The beloved Christmas factory returns, richer, more dazzling, and more complete, with many hidden secrets waiting for children and adults to discover!
