The most special music event in the heart of the city, Music at Technopolis, continues its journey in September with memorable performances that conclude this year’s concert season in an ideal way. After 31 unforgettable evenings, from May to July, full of music, countless sold-out performances, impressive shows, festivals and artists that left an indelible mark on this past summer, the second part of the Technopolis Music Festival is back with art and folk music, rock and hip-hop. Favourite Greek artists, big names from abroad, festivals and a touching tribute are all part of the Technopolis Music program in September.
The first explosive show is on Thursday, September 1,with Monophonics, the great psychedelic soul and heavy-funk group from California that are back on the Technopolis stage to entertain their Greek fans with a concert full of energy and unforgettable songs. They are accompanied by TAF LATHOS, the artist who never stops trying and daring, always having hip hop as a starting and reference point. TAF LATHOS has managed to mesmerize diverse audiences with his music through experimentations that start from funk and soul and end up in our folk tradition
On September 2 and 3, Off The Hook Festival is back, more exciting than ever in its original form, for a two-day event dedicated to the culture of the hip-hop scene. Leading artists from Greece, Europe, and the USA will come together for an unforgettable Off The Hook experience.
On Tuesday, September 6, the unique Foivos Delivorias will present his latest album, “ANIME”, for the first time. He will be accompanied by old acquaintances like Sotiris Douvas, Kostis Christodoulou, Kostas Pantelis and Yoel Soto, and two great soloists who contributed with their touch and “anima” to ANIME: FotisSiotas and ThodorisRello.
The next day, Wednesday, September 7, Pavlos Pavlidis, with his new band Hotel Alaska will be back for a special concert-celebration his way. New songs from his latest album, “The Black Box”, and older songs of his will take us on an exceptional journey to the distinctive and daring world of the beloved songwriter.
On Thursday, September 8, Technopolis will welcome the “diva of our heart”, Kaiti Garbi. She will walk onto the Technopolis stage to sing, reminding us of all her great and timeless hits from her 30-year artistic career. On stage with her, Dimitris Schinas with a concept he produced himself and songs arranged by him.
On Friday, September 9, Spyros Grammenos, known for his satirical and intense socio-political songs, is throwing a fantastic party for his friends to celebrate the end of an adventurous summer. The next day, September 10, 1000mods will be there to present their latest masterpiece, Youth of Dissent, for the first time, with songs inspired by the underground Greek scene.
On Sunday, September 11, Socrates Malamas, with his guitar and unforgettable songs will walk onto the Technopolis stage with his beloved friends and collaborators. On Monday, September 12, Giannis Haroulis will take us on a long-awaited musical journey with old, memorable songs and new ones from his latest album “KOLIMBRI”, an album full of thoughts and feelings, while on Thursday, September 15, the great Giannis Aggelakas and his band, 100°C, will be with us at the Technopolis for an unforgettable concert.
The final curtain of the season is on Friday, September 16with a special tribute to Manos Loizos, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the city’s radio station, Athens 9,84. A concert-celebration, during which thirty younger generation artists will be on stage to sing Manos Loizos’ songs, a composer who has been loved like too few others in the history of Greek singing. To mark the continuity of Greek music, they will be joined by two of the first female singers of Manos Loizos’ songs, DemetraGalani and Maria Farantouri.
The heart of music is still beating wildly at Technopolis in September. Be there!
