The famous artwork of Kostas Varotsos was created in 1988 and, upon its presentation, became a matter of debate among the art critics and the audience until finally becoming one of the most iconic works in the public space of Athens. It is made of glass and iron and was initially placed in Omonia Square. However, due to stability problems created by the Metro works, in 1994, it was moved to the Great School of the Nation Square, opposite the Hilton Hotel, where it still stands today.
