The Release Athens Festival presents Cannons, on Saturday, July 6, at Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens. The alternative electro-pop trio from Los Angeles, which has achieved great success worldwide in recent years, comes to Greece for the first time for one of the most exciting live performances of this summer.

Formed in 2013, Cannons consist of Ryan Clapham (guitar), Paul Davis (drums, keyboards), and Michelle Joy (vocals). With their innate talent for crafting great melodies and songs equally suitable for the legendary Studio 54 and summer festivals, the trio has garnered rave reviews from major publications (The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Consequence of Sound, etc.) with their four albums – “Night Call” (2017), “Shadows” (2019), “Fever Dream” (2022), and “Heartbeat Highway” (2023), and has gained a dedicated fan base.

A prime example is their ultimate pop anthem of the current decade, “Fire For You,” which, after appearing on Netflix’s highly successful “Never Have I Ever” and “American Horror Story,” surpassed 250 million streams, topped the Alternative Radio charts, and led the group to sign with Columbia Records. Their ethereal track “Loving You” has also conquered domestic airplay, while their list of hits includes songs like “Hurricane,” “Tunnel of You,” “Bad Dream,” “Crush,” “Heartbeat Highway,” “Sweeter,” with many more to come in the future.
