Kutiman is a guest of Athens Voice Radio 102.5 and the Athens City Festival, the multi-talented composer, producer, musician and filmmaker comes to Athens for a unique performance at the Theo Angelopoulos Auditorium of the French Institute of Greece.Along with his latest hit “My Everything” which is heard everywhere, he will present his new work as well as the songs we love, among them “Inner Galactic Lovers” and “Music Is Ruling My World”.Born Ophir Kutiel in Jerusalem in 1982, Kutiman started playing the piano at the age of six and played drums and guitar in his teens. After high school, he studied jazz at the Rimon School of Music where he met fellow producer, Sabbo, who introduced him to reggae, Afrobeat and funk. In October 2022 he presented his sixth album “Open”, a special musical journey through twelve amazing creations. “Open” is a record full of inspiring melodies and rhythms that bridge east and west together with influences from classical music, psychedelia, funk, afrobeat and soul. His new sound combines pop with Middle Eastern melodies, while “Open” is the most tangible proof of the journey that Kutiman is preparing for his audience: multi-dimensional and with a wide range of musical references that result in a delightful sound mix.
