Anna Bahn, n\u00e9e Hein, was born in Budapest in 1908. She had two sisters and a brother, Nikolaos Hein, who, according to archival records, was in Athens in 1943. Persecuted by the Germans, he likely fled to Yugoslavia.<\/p>\n
She was married to Friedrich Bahn, son of Rudolf (1902-1942), an engineer specializing in bridge construction. Friedrich passed away on May 15, 1942, and was buried in Athens’ First Cemetery. The couple lived at 8 Xanthou Street.<\/p>\n
Anna Bahn was executed by German occupation forces in the Chaidari forest on September 8, 1944 and buried in the Third Cemetery of Athens. In 1946, the Hungarian ambassador to Greece arranged for the couple\u2019s remains to be interred together in a new grave at the Third Cemetery, specifically allocated for this purpose.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
