The\u00a0City of Athens<\/strong>\u00a0organises, through the City of Athens Culture, Sports and Youth Organisation\u00a0<\/strong>(OPANDA), a tribute to Belle \u00c9poque Athens, with happenings and events focusing on the period from 1871 to the beginning of the First World War and the emblematic work of the political and theatrical writer Miltos Lidorikis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tribute will begin with five educational, modular workshops for the creation of a short animation film by different audiences, designed and delivered by the ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival, from April 22 to May 28, 2023, at the City of Athens Vafeiochoriou, Kato Petralona, Kypseli, NeosKosmos and Nordau Creative Learning Centers. Participation in the seminars is free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The animation techniques of Stop motion, Cut-outs, Pixilation and Shadow animation will be used in the workshops. Participation is free, but you must register in advance at the Creative Learning Center of your choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the tribute, architectural guided tours to Belle \u00c9poque<\/strong> buildings in Athens, a music event, and a photo and manuscript<\/strong> exhibition <\/strong>from ZozoLidoriki’s archival material will take place in June at the City of Athens<\/strong> Cultural Center “Melina” <\/strong>with her creative contribution, as the exhibits are included in the book<\/strong> of the same name by AlekosLidorikis’ father, playwright Miltos<\/strong> Lidorikis entitled “I lived in Belle \u00c9poque Athens<\/strong>“, POLARIS publications. Furthermore, during the exhibition, the video produced by recording the animation workshops held at the Creative Learning Centers by the ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival will also be presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
