Joy and cheerfulness are spreading in the neighbourhoods with the impressive city decoration to be ready by<strong> Thursday, December 1, during the Christmas tree lighting in Syntagma Square.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Against all odds triggered by the energy crisis, the City of Athens, having already replaced the&nbsp;<strong>entire Christmas lighting of the city with LED in the&nbsp;<\/strong>previous two years, will offer&nbsp;<strong>Christmas without any brightness &#8220;discounts&#8221;<\/strong>.&nbsp;<strong>The savings achieved are as high as 80% compared to previous years.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">On Thursday evening, those attending the tree-lighting ceremony at Syntagma Square will enjoy a beautiful live concert in downtown Athens.<strong>&nbsp;The famous pop singer Tamta&nbsp;<\/strong>will perform live,&nbsp;<strong>in an unexpected partnership with the Athens Big Band.&nbsp;<\/strong>But, before her,&nbsp;<strong>Petros Kourtis&nbsp;<\/strong>and his&nbsp;<strong>band will cheer us up with their music.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">For the first time this year, a trendy<strong>&nbsp;and successful duo<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>FotisSergoulopoulos&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>Jenny Melita,&nbsp;<\/strong>will host the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and the New Year&#8217;s Eve celebrations with their humour and positive mood.
