“Madame et son filleul” (The Godson) <\/strong>by Th. Sakellaridis, the most famous Greek Operetta, has been popular for years thanks to its exceptional music and hilarious plot. After the success of W.A. Mozart’s “Idomeneo”, George Petrou is back at Olympia directing the City of Athens Symphony Orchestra and Choir. He is accompanied by great opera singers and actors, bringing Sakellaridis’ masterpiece to life in a timeless production that combines contemporary aesthetics with Art Deco elements of the Greek Belle \u00c9poque. “ The Godson<\/strong>“, which, according to its creator, “smells of Hellas”, is presented in the original version of its historic 1918 premiere, orchestrated by the composer himself, calling to mind the sounds of J. Offenbach, F. Leh\u00e1r and J.
