«Pentacycle»

πεντάκυκλο

The iconic sculpture by George Zongolopoulos is 15 metres high and consists of five cycles placed in crosswise arranged frames. Made of stainless steel in 2001, when the sculptor was 100 years old, it was initially destined to move through the power of water. The sculpture represented Greece at the Venice Biennale and, in the same year, was placed in Omonia Square, where it is still located.
