Nikos Chatzitsakos, an accomplished double bassist, orchestrator and captivating musician, is set to join forces with the esteemed Athens Big Band, as well as two brilliant soloists, Eleni Ermina Sofou (vocalist) and Dimitris Tsakas (alto saxophone). Together, they will be delivering a splendid performance of some of the most beloved jazz classics, accompanied by Nikos’ masterful orchestrations. His unique style seamlessly fuses the traditional African-American jazz heritage and its classical repertoire with contemporary aesthetics and soundscapes, much like a visionary director revitalizing classic works for the modern era.
