Myrto Kalliga Gavrili (Kalli) brings together her recent works for her first solo painting exhibition titled “Surroundings”.
Starting from the images of the world that surround us, her main concern is the transcription of these into a visual language that reintroduces to us the beauty that we encounter in everyday life and often miss. She uses all kinds of light materials, pastels, watercolors, inks, colored pencils, and plays with monotypes and engraving techniques in the search for immediacy, economy and purity of expression.
Born in 1998, Kalli is a visual artist from Athens, currently studying painting with Professor Dimitris Zouroudis at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also works with graphic design, screen design, artistic photography, and video art. Kalli has participated in numerous group exhibitions and projects, and a significant mumber of her artworks are in private collections.
Inauguration: 10 May, from 19:00 to 23:00
The exhibition will run up until 3 June.
