On Tuesday, July 5 2022, Gogol Bordello is coming to the Technopolis City of Athens for the most frantic summer concert! The explosive gipsy punk rockers were founded in 1999 in New York. They took their name from the classic Russian writer of Ukrainian origin, Nikolai Gogol, and the Italian word for “brothel”. To date, the band has released seven studio albums and performed live on the most famous world stages, earning the title of the most uplifting band on the planet! With the accordion and violin as the dominant instruments in their music, Gogol Bordello has devised a unique and distinctive sound, combining Eastern Europe’s Roma music, where most of their members come from, with punk and dub.
