Athens Big Band
In February 2023, the Athens Big Band is in concert at the Olympia City Music Theatre “Maria Callas” with an exciting new collaboration. This time, it is joined by Katerina Polemi, an excellent performer of Brazilian, jazz & Greek music and a long artistic career both in our country and abroad, and the composer, arranger and trumpeter Dimitris Papadopoulos, one of the most influential musicians of our city. Their collaboration will focus on Latin American music through a jazz lens, emphasising Brazil, while running the gamut up to the most influential composers and orchestrators in the jazz and Latin jazz music tradition.
